If you were expecting me to have loads of MP3s to download, I’m sorry to disappoint you. That sort of thing is ILLEGAL of course, unless you already own a copy of the work you are downloading.

Instead, a few links to some of the sources I would use if I was going to do that sort of thing.

I use dBpowerAMP players (dAP) and decoders (dMC). They are as good as any others I have tried, and again are FREE. Click the graphic to visit the download site for the player and converter.

There are loads of MP3s to download if you know where to look! I find the following site really useful.

Maxalbums - click HERE

Go to Front Page>

Many MP3 files are compressed or encoded using one of the following programs

WinZip / WinRAR / Camouflage

So if you were downloading stuff, you would need all of these to get at the MP3s after you downloaded them. WinRAR is not free and neither is WinZip, but there are evaluation copies which are free. (Time or use limited)

Caouflage - click HERE

WinRAR - click HERE

WinZip - click HERE

If you are on dial-up or ISDN you will also need a good download manager unless you want to spend ages online. I use Download Accelerator Plus, which seems better than Gozilla (which I used previously) and is free unless you want to buy the upgraded version.
Click HERE to visit DAP site.

Radio Tracker is a neat application that records tracks as MP3 files from FREE internet radio. The application costs about £20 but its a great source of free MP3s. Click the graphic to go to the site.
